Electrical assemblies are becoming ever smaller and more compact, but even a tiny gap between individual components can severely disrupt the necessary heat dissipation. Air pockets between the heat sink and the component to be cooled stand in the way of an optimal thermal connection. Possible consequences: Temperature overloads, which in the worst case can lead to overheating.
Heat conducting and insulating products act as links between the heat sink and the electrical component to be cooled. In this way, they completely fill even the smallest gap between the heat sink and the semiconductor with thermally conductive material. This ensures an optimal thermal connection and prevents any build-up of heat.
Heat-conducting and self-extinguishing
Seifert’s range of heat conducting and insulating products includes Kapton insulating washers, aluminum oxide washers, insulating caps, insulating bushes and thermal pastes. As electrical insulators, our insulating products also provide the electrically insulated mounting of the semiconductors on the heat sinks.
With our Kapton insulating washers, we offer a proven alternative to the fragile mica washers for heat conduction. To ensure stable heat transfer, our Kapton insulating washers with a dielectric strength of 280 KV/mm and a thickness of 0.05 mm are available in various housing designs. The films are self-extinguishing in the event of heat conduction at high temperatures. In combination with our insulating caps and insulating bushes made of thermoplastic, the optimum semiconductor fastening is provided for reliable insulation between the heat sink and the semiconductor component.
Stable heat transfer
For particularly high voltage ranges, we recommend our aluminum oxide washers made of Al2O3 ceramic. Their very good chemical stability with a dielectric strength of up to 250 KV/cm ensures a sound thermal conductivity. We supply aluminum oxide washers for a wide range of common housing designs.
The Seifert KF-400 thermal paste is a universally applicable finishing compound that fills in any unevenness between the heat sink and the component to be cooled. We guarantee thermal resistance up to 200° Celsius and good material compatibility. Looking to use a silicone-free thermal paste? The Seifert KF-401 thermal paste is silicone-free and prevents silicone from escaping into the environment.
